Robot field service companies in North America: who services robots in the US and Canada (2026)

· 10 min read

Short answer: Robot field service in the US and Canada comes from five kinds of companies: the robot makers' own service organizations (for example FANUC America, ABB, Pudu, Avidbots, Locus Robotics), nationwide third-party field service networks (Burroughs, Hemmersbach), companies whose main business is multi-brand robot service (Roboworx, Robo Reliance, Service Robot Co.), integrators and resellers with service teams (RobotLAB, JR Automation, Acieta, Motion Controls Robotics, Cobot Intelligence), and regional on-site service points such as KeepRobots in Vancouver.

Most third-party multi-brand providers we found state US coverage; few state Canada. Which one fits depends on whether you need the maker's warranty authorization, your robot category, where your sites are, who signs the contract (the robot maker or the robot owner), and whether you need people who can work with an engineering team in China. For how the service models compare on cost, see our field service models and costs guide.

Disclosure: this page is written by KeepRobots, a robot field service company in Vancouver that appears in the list below, so we have an interest. Every other entry uses only facts published on the company's own website or in a manufacturer or news announcement, with links. It is not a ranking or an endorsement, and inclusion does not mean any company works with us. Check each company's current offer. Companies that want a correction can email partners@keeprobots.com.

Providers by type

1. Robot makers' own service organizations (OEM)

If your robot is one of these brands and still under warranty or a service contract, start with the maker. These organizations service their own products; coverage and response times depend on the contract.

  • FANUC America. Rochester Hills, Michigan. FANUC says its field service "is available regionally in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil", with service engineers located throughout the US; services include down-robot service, warranty service, preventive maintenance and service contracts (FANUC field service). FANUC Canada in Mississauga serves Canada nationally (FANUC Canada). FANUC robots only.
  • ABB Robotics. ABB says it has more than 1,600 robotics service staff worldwide and that its repair offer includes technical support, remote troubleshooting, on-site repair, corrective maintenance and workshop repair (ABB technical support). It lists separate robotics support contacts for the US and Canada (service contacts). ABB robots only.
  • Universal Robots. US office in Novi, Michigan, with a 24/7 US support line (UR support). Its FAQ says Universal Robots does not offer installation support directly and refers buyers to Certified System Integrators; repairs and UR Care service plans go through the local UR distributor (UR FAQ).
  • Pudu Robotics. Pudu opened a US headquarters in the Dallas area in April 2026 with local sales, after-sales and warehousing (Pudu release). Its PUDU Care service package is offered only in the US and Canada; the Standard tier includes unlimited on-site repair and four preventive-maintenance visits a year (PUDU Care). Pudu also named Burroughs as its maintenance partner for the US and Canada (Pudu announcement). Pudu robots only.
  • Avidbots. Kitchener, Ontario. Avidbots offers 24/7/365 remote assistance and service plans, with a service network covering North America and other regions (Avidbots customer success). On-site field service is delivered with Burroughs, announced in 2023 for a phased rollout across US regions and Canadian provinces (Burroughs announcement). Avidbots robots only.
  • Tennant with Brain Corp. According to a June 2025 Brain Corp post, Tennant offers TennantTrue AMR service plans for BrainOS-powered robotic floor scrubbers in the US and Canada; service is performed by trained Tennant technicians, within a network of 500+ technicians and service partners across North America (Brain Corp).
  • Locus Robotics. Locus says Locus-certified technicians provide onsite support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and robot repairs, with 24/7/365 support worldwide at no additional cost, plus deployment and training (LocusONE service and support). Locus robots only.

2. Nationwide third-party field service networks

Large independent service companies with technicians across the US and often Canada. They usually work under contract with a robot maker, so the robot maker (not the end customer) is often their client.

  • Burroughs. Elmhurst, Illinois; part of Loomis since June 2025 (Loomis release). Offers "multi-vendor, multi-device lifecycle services" for robotic automation, including maintenance, remote triage, dispatch, parts logistics and depot repair, with North American coverage (Burroughs robotics). Its Pudu announcement cites 500 service technicians across the US and Canada (Burroughs and Pudu); Avidbots is another announced program.
  • Hemmersbach. Americas headquarters in Houston; group headquarters in Nuremberg, Germany (locations). Its robotics service covers manufacturing robots and warehouse AMRs/AGVs with remote diagnosis, preventive and predictive maintenance and on-site technician dispatch, working on behalf of system integrators, hardware manufacturers and device-as-a-service providers (Hemmersbach robotics). States US nationwide field coverage (US field services); robot service in Canada is not stated.

3. Multi-brand robot service companies

Companies whose main business is servicing robots, across several brands. Models differ: some take contracts from robot makers, some sell service plans directly to robot owners, some also sell or lease robots.

  • Roboworx. Launched in January 2024 by Administrative Resource Options (Robotics 24/7). Describes itself as a nationwide network of robotics-focused service experts offering white-label service for robot makers: installation and start-up, scheduled preventive maintenance, break/fix and training (roboworx.io).
  • Robo Reliance. Colorado; founded September 2024 (FAQ). Says it is OEM-agnostic and covers installation and commissioning, preventive maintenance, break-fix repair and remote support for many robot types "anywhere in the United States", with technicians recruited and trained market by market around each client's deployments (roboreliance.com).
  • Service Robot Co.. San Francisco, with other offices in California, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kentucky and Texas. Says it designs, leases and services turnkey robotic systems, covering all 50 US states with regional service engineers: site mapping, installation and commissioning, staff training, maintenance visits, on-site repairs and remote triage (servicerobotco.com).

4. Integrators and resellers with service teams

Companies that design, sell or integrate robot systems and keep a service team for installation, maintenance and repair. A good fit when the same company also supplies the system.

  • RobotLAB. Texas. Sells, leases and integrates commercial robots from about 20 brands, including Pudu, Keenon, Gausium and Unitree; its site lists installation by RobotLAB technicians, training, "20+ local service centers" and 24/7 support, covering all 50 US states (robotlab.com).
  • JR Automation. Holland, Michigan. Builds automation and robotic systems; its field services team handles emergency service, preventive maintenance and operator training and is placed throughout the United States (JR field services).
  • Acieta. Shelbyville, Indiana, with sites in Iowa, Michigan and Mexico. Robotic automation integrator offering 24/7 technical support, preventive maintenance and spare parts, with 31 service engineers across North America (Acieta service).
  • Motion Controls Robotics. Fremont, Ohio. A certified FANUC system integrator offering remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, spare parts and on-site visits; it also services existing Pioneer Industrial Systems equipment (MCRI service).
  • Cobot Intelligence. Toronto, with a US location in Elgin, Illinois. Distributes, services and provides training for Techman collaborative robots throughout the USA and Canada (Cobot Intelligence).

5. Regional on-site service points

Smaller firms with a home region that do hands-on work for robots from several makers, usually billed per hour or per job, and travel outside their region per project.

  • KeepRobots. Vancouver (Suite 250 - 997 Seymour Street). On-site field service for robots made by other companies: deployment and commissioning, after-sales repair billed by the hour, preventive maintenance, pre-sales demos at prospects' sites, and storage of spare parts and demo or idle units. Fastest in Greater Vancouver; the rest of Canada and the US per project (Canada details: robot field service in Canada; US details: robot service in the USA). English and Mandarin; engineers can read Chinese technical documentation and work with teams in China. Published rates: C$200 diagnostic per robot, per visit (US$200 in the US, credited against an approved repair), C$100 call-out in the Greater Vancouver core zone, C$150/hour on-site labour in Canada or US$150/hour in the US, before tax; travel outside the core zone quoted per project. Does not make or sell robots; non-exclusive. This is our company.

How to choose: a decision table

Neutral checklist by provider type. Whatever you choose, ask for the same things in writing: service area, response time, who authorizes warranty work, parts stock, and rates.

Notes for robot makers from China entering the US and Canada

  • Decide who your service partner works for. Networks such as Burroughs and Hemmersbach, and firms such as Roboworx, mostly contract with robot makers; resellers contract with end customers. If you are the maker, you want a partner that reports to you and follows your RMA and warranty rules.
  • Check Canada separately. Many US providers say "nationwide" and mean the 50 states. If you have Canadian customers, ask who is actually on the ground in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal and what response time they will put in writing. For our own Canadian coverage and rates, see robot repair, after-sales and field service in Canada.
  • Warranty and sealed parts. Agree in writing which assemblies a third party may open, how failed parts flow back to the factory, and who pays freight and duties.
  • Language and hours. Ask whether technicians can read your Chinese fault tables and wiring diagrams and join calls with your engineers in China. Apart from KeepRobots, none of the companies above states Chinese-language support on its website.
  • Parts on the ground. Ask whether the provider can hold consignment spares and demo units near your customers, and how stock is reported.
  • US compliance. New foreign-produced mobile robot models face FCC Covered List rules in the US since July 2026; Canada follows ISED. See FCC Covered List and robots: Canada vs the US.

How this list was made

Researched on 2026-10-20 from the companies' official websites and manufacturer, press or news announcements; every fact is linked to its source. We started from the providers that AI assistants and search engines name for robot field service in North America, then added OEM service organizations and integrators with published service pages. Companies whose official pages we could not open or that do not state robot field service were left out rather than guessed. "Not stated" means we could not find it on the official site, not that the company does not offer it. The groups are by business model, not quality, and the order within each group carries no meaning. We plan to re-check the list every quarter.

FAQ

Which companies provide robot field service in the US and Canada?

Robot makers' own service organizations (for example FANUC America, ABB Robotics, Pudu, Avidbots, Locus Robotics and Tennant for BrainOS scrubbers); nationwide service networks such as Burroughs and Hemmersbach; multi-brand robot service companies such as Roboworx, Robo Reliance and Service Robot Co.; integrators and resellers with service teams such as RobotLAB, JR Automation, Acieta, Motion Controls Robotics and Cobot Intelligence; and regional service points such as KeepRobots in Vancouver. KeepRobots works with robot makers as a non-exclusive North American service point: deployment, hourly repair, preventive maintenance, pre-sales demos and parts storage, in English or Mandarin, at published rates (C$150 or US$150 per hour on site, before tax).

How much does robot field service cost in North America?

Most providers quote per contract, plan or project and do not publish rates. Pudu publishes service package contents on its PUDU Care page, and KeepRobots publishes its rates: C$200 (or US$200) diagnostic per robot, per visit, credited against an approved repair, C$100 call-out in the Greater Vancouver core zone, and C$150 per hour on-site labour in Canada or US$150 per hour in the US, before tax and parts. For a full cost comparison of the service models, see our North America field service guide.

Is this list a ranking?

No. It is written by KeepRobots, which is one of the listed companies, and groups providers by business model using facts from their own websites. Inclusion does not mean a company works with KeepRobots. Check each provider's current offer; corrections to partners@keeprobots.com.
