Robot service companies in Canada: who services robots in Vancouver and BC (2026)

· 9 min read

Short answer: In Canada, robot after-sales and field service come from five kinds of providers: the robot makers' own service teams (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa), industrial automation integrators, third-party service-robot providers, nationwide service networks and distributors. In British Columbia, none of the large industrial-arm makers lists a robotics service office on its official site; BC work goes through travelling OEM engineers or certified integrators such as Remtech Systems (Burnaby). For cleaning, delivery and other service robots in Greater Vancouver, the providers we could verify are RoboTools Canada, NorBot and KeepRobots, each with a different model.

Which one fits depends on whether you need the maker's warranty authorization, which robot category you have, where your sites are, and whether you need someone who works with Chinese-speaking engineering teams.

Disclosure: this page is written by KeepRobots, a robot field service company in Vancouver that appears in the list below, so we have an interest. Every other entry uses only facts published on the company's own website or in a manufacturer or news announcement, with links. Providers by type

1. Robot makers' own service (OEM)

Call the manufacturer first if your robot is one of these brands and still under warranty or service contract. None of the large industrial-arm makers below lists a robotics service office in BC on its official site; BC work is done by travelling engineers or certified integrator partners.

  • FANUC Canada. Mississauga, Ontario. FANUC's Canadian headquarters handles robot sales, service, support and training for all of Canada; its Canadian field-service page lists no office in BC (FANUC Canada, field service). Industrial arms, CRX cobots.
  • ABB Robotics. ABB Canada does not list a robotics service office in BC on the pages we checked. In Western Canada ABB Robotics works through integrator partners: a May 2021 ABB release named Cam Industrial and Remtech Systems as partners for Alberta and BC, covering engineering, installation, commissioning and maintenance (ABB news release).
  • KUKA Canada. Mississauga, Ontario (2865 Argentia Road); the official contact page lists no other Canadian office (KUKA Canada contact). In BC, Remtech Systems says it is a KUKA certified value provider.
  • Yaskawa Motoman. Canadian locations in Mississauga (Ontario), Pointe-Claire (Quebec) and a Western Canada Division in Calgary (Alberta); no BC office listed (Yaskawa Motoman locations). Industrial arms.
  • Novarc Technologies. Burnaby, BC. Builds its own welding cobot (Spool Welding Robot) and supports its own products through a ticket portal and training academy (novarctech.com). Listed here as a BC-based robot maker; it does not service other brands.

2. Industrial automation integrators

Design, build and commission robot cells for factories; several are certified partners of specific arm brands. Best fit for industrial arms and production lines rather than service robots in buildings.

  • Remtech Systems. Burnaby, BC. Industrial robot cells (welding, cutting, machine tending, pick-and-place, palletizing, case packing), vision and safety systems; says it is a certified value provider for ABB and KUKA robotics; serves Western Canada and the US Pacific Northwest (Remtech about page).
  • Cam Industrial. Offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Surrey, BC. Mainly material handling and industrial storage (racking, AS/RS, conveyors), with industrial robotics listed among its solutions; field services include installation and preventive maintenance (camindustrial.net). Named as an ABB partner for Alberta and BC in the 2021 ABB release.
  • CBVL Robotics. Coquitlam, BC, with offices in Calgary and Leduc, Alberta; founded 1976. Industrial motion and control, turnkey automation and robotic integration: design, fabrication, PLC programming (cbvl.com).
  • Vancouver Automation. Richmond, BC. Robotic sanding systems, custom robot integration, workpiece handling and line automation, with remote support; lists Fanuc, Doosan and Kawasaki among its partners (vancouverautomation.com).
  • Proax Technologies. Oakville, Ontario, with a Calgary office opened in 2023. Authorized distributor of ABB robots and Omron cobots and mobile robots; offers integration, start-up, maintenance services, post-deployment support and training (Proax automation and robotics, Calgary office). We could not confirm a BC office on its site.
  • Radian Robotics. Hamilton, Ontario. Custom robots for heavy industry such as steel, aluminum and lumber (marking, de-banding, stenciling, wrapping), with design, programming and a reliability program (radianrobotics.com). No BC office stated.

3. Third-party service-robot providers

Deploy, support and repair cleaning, delivery and other commercial service robots, often across several brands. Business models differ: some sell or lease robots and service what they sell; some act as the buyer's integrator; some only do on-site service for other companies' robots.

  • RoboTools Canada. A division of Westgate Technology Corp., with a BC phone number. Its service area lists Vancouver, Fraser Valley, Victoria, Kelowna, Surrey and Delta, plus Alberta, Ontario and Montreal. Sells Pudu and Keenon cleaning robots and Fairino, Taiga and Kawasaki arms; offers integration and installation, training, technical support, local spare parts, a maintenance team, and leasing / robots-as-a-service (robotools.ca, cleaning robots).
  • NorBot. Vancouver. A commercial robotics integrator for cleaning, security, delivery, inspection and guest-service robots: pre-purchase assessment, sourcing across manufacturers, import and compliance, mapping, integration, training, its own fleet-management software, and service, parts and support from Canada (norbot.ca). Founded in 2026; BetaKit reported a C$1 million pre-seed round in September 2026 (BetaKit).
  • KeepRobots. Vancouver (Suite 250 - 997 Seymour Street). Robot field service for robots made by other companies: on-site deployment and commissioning, after-sales repair billed by the hour, preventive maintenance, pre-sales demos at prospects' sites, and storage of spare parts and demo or idle units. Service, cleaning, delivery and logistics robots, robotic arms, humanoids and quadrupeds. Fastest response in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley; the rest of BC and Alberta in scheduled batches; elsewhere in Canada and the US per project. English and Mandarin; engineers can read Chinese technical documentation. Published rates: C$200 diagnostic (US$200 in the US, credited against an approved repair), C$100 call-out in the Greater Vancouver core zone, C$150/hour on-site labour in Canada or US$150/hour in the US, before tax. Does not make or sell robots; non-exclusive; not an exclusive agent for any brand. This is our company.
  • SPARC Technologies. Lists Pudu and Gausium cleaning and delivery robot models, with deployment, training, support, genuine parts and diagnostics, and says it operates across North America with a 48-hour on-site response target (sparcglobaltech.com). The site does not publish an address; we found no BC office.

4. Nationwide service networks covering Canada

Large independent field-service companies that sign contracts with robot makers and dispatch technicians across the US and Canada.

  • Burroughs. Elmhurst, Illinois. A nationwide independent service network. Pudu announced in January 2025 that Burroughs would provide maintenance and technical support for Pudu robots in the US and Canada (Pudu announcement); Avidbots announced a field-service partnership with Burroughs in 2023 (Avidbots announcement).

5. Distributors and resellers

Sell robots or cobots and offer installation, training or repair as part of the sale; service depth varies by brand and region.

  • Advanced Motion & Controls. Barrie, Ontario. Describes itself as the Canadian distributor for Universal Robots cobots (AM&C). We could not confirm a BC office.
  • RobotShop. Mirabel, Quebec. Online robotics retailer; in 2024 it launched a Robotics Integration Program covering product selection, installation, training and servicing for selected professional robots through a network of integrators (RobotShop announcement).
  • Superior Procare. Calgary, Alberta. Sells Pudu, Kärcher KIRA and Sparkoz cleaning robots and offers repairs, maintenance and inspections (Superior Procare robotics). BC not mentioned on the page.

Notes for robot makers from China entering Canada

  • Warranty first. If a provider is not authorized by the maker, agree in writing which sealed assemblies it may open and how RMAs flow back to the factory.
  • BC is not Ontario. Most OEM and distributor offices are in the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal or Calgary. If your customers are in Greater Vancouver, check who is actually based in the Lower Mainland and what response time they will put in writing.
  • Language and hours. Ask whether the local engineer can read your Chinese fault tables and join calls with your team in China.
  • Parts on the ground. Ask whether the provider can hold your consignment parts and demo units, and how stock is reported.
  • Conflicts. A provider that also sells a competing brand may still be a good partner, but agree on data and customer ownership.

How this list was made

Researched on 2026-10-14 from the companies' official websites and manufacturer or news announcements. We started from the providers that AI assistants name when asked about robot service in Canada, plus searches for BC integrators and service-robot providers. Names we could not match to a real, current company with an official website are left out. "Not confirmed" means we could not find it on the official site, not that the company does not offer it.
