For robot manufacturers entering North America

A local robot service point in North America, from day one

KeepRobots is a robot field-service company in Vancouver, Canada. Once your robots are sold into North America, someone has to be on site: to deploy them, repair them, maintain them, demo them and keep the parts on a shelf. That is what we do. You don't need to hire a US or Canadian team, lease a warehouse or open a subsidiary before you can tell customers you have local field engineers.

The gap most manufacturers hit

  • Your customer is in North America and your engineers are in Asia, 12–16 hours ahead. A fault reported during the customer's working day lands in the middle of your night.
  • One failure means flying an engineer over. The ticket, visa and hotel cost more than several local repairs.
  • Your distributor will sell but won't fix — or you don't have a distributor yet.
  • Enterprise buyers ask in every RFP: "Do you have local service? What's your response time?"
  • Spare parts ship from overseas. A drive wheel waits in customs and the robot sits idle for a week or two.

None of this needs a subsidiary. It needs a reliable field partner.

What we do

1. Deployment and commissioning

Site survey, mapping, waypoints, network setup, coordination of door and elevator integration, staff training and go-live — run to your procedures and your document templates, with a site report back to you.

We coordinate with the elevator contractor and building management; work inside elevator controllers is licensed elevator-contractor work (regulated by Technical Safety BC in British Columbia), so we don't touch it ourselves.

2. Hourly on-site repair

No retainer. We're dispatched when your customer has a fault.

ItemPrice (CAD, before GST)
Diagnostic$80 per visit (credited against an approved repair)
Call-out (core service zone)$50 per visit
On-site labour$80 per hour
PartsCatalogue price, or your consignment stock

The core zone is Metro Vancouver. We travel to the rest of BC, other Canadian provinces and the US; travel is quoted per project.

3. Preventive maintenance

Scheduled inspections to your maintenance manual: cleaning, fastener checks, wear-part replacement (wheels, brushes, filters, squeegees, battery health), firmware version checks and data back to you. Replace parts before they fail instead of after.

4. Pre-sales on-site demos

Your sales team is working a North American lead and needs a robot on site? We can go with your salesperson or run the demo ourselves, and survey the site beforehand so the demo doesn't fail on a doorway or a dead Wi-Fi zone. Demo units can be stored with us, ready to go.

5. Spare parts and equipment storage

Keep fast-moving spares, demo units and returned units in Vancouver. Parts ship locally or go out with the engineer. Consignment works: you keep title until a part is used, and we report stock and usage monthly.

Why KeepRobots

  • Service only. We don't sell robots and we're no brand's exclusive dealer, so we never compete with you for the customer.
  • Bilingual. Our engineers read Chinese service manuals, schematics and fault tables directly, and work with your R&D team in their hours.
  • Vancouver. Direct flights to China and the same time zone as the US West Coast; based in BC, with travel across Canada and the US.
  • Brand-neutral, white-label ready. We show up as KeepRobots, or in your uniform with your ticketing system and report templates. The customer relationship stays yours.
  • Start small. No exclusivity, no territory commitment, no onboarding fee. Start with one customer and one job.

How a partnership starts

  1. 30-minute call — your product, your North American customers, which services you need.
  2. Handover — product and service manuals, fault tables, spare-parts list, remote-support contacts.
  3. Training — your engineers train ours remotely or in Vancouver.
  4. First job — one real deployment or repair at the published rates. Read our site report before deciding anything wider.
  5. Ongoing — agreed response times, consignment stock, monthly reports and a service agreement when it makes sense.

Co-branding

Once we've agreed to work together, you can say on your website and sales material (wording agreed together):

  • "North America field service partner: KeepRobots (Vancouver, Canada)"
  • A Vancouver service point on your service-network map, linked to keeprobots.com
  • Or, under white-label, simply "local on-site service in North America" without our name

With your written permission, we'll list your brand on our partners page. Logo use and public statements are always confirmed in writing first.

FAQ

Will you conflict with our distributor?

No. We don't sell robots. If you have a distributor, we can be the service team behind them in a three-way arrangement. If you don't, we can carry service while you build the channel.

Have you worked on our robots before?

If we haven't, we'll say so. Chassis, drive wheels, LiDAR, batteries and joint modules share a lot across makes; we train on your documentation and a sample unit before taking your tickets.

How is it priced? Is there a minimum?

Repairs follow our published rates: $80 diagnostic (credited against an approved repair), $50 call-out per visit in the core zone, $80/hour on-site labour, CAD before GST. Deployments, maintenance programs and remote travel are quoted per project. No onboarding or annual fees.

Do you go to the US?

Yes. We're based in BC and Metro Vancouver, and travel to the US and the rest of Canada, quoted per project.

How quickly can you respond?

We reply to service requests within one business day. On-site attendance targets are written into the maintenance agreement.

Will you open parts that are under warranty?

Not without your agreement. We follow your RMA process: on-site diagnosis, module swap and return logistics.

Can you help with certification?

We can run a gap check against CSA/cUL and ISED requirements before you launch in Canada and help you work out what to ask a certification body for. Certification itself has to come from an accredited body.
